Los Angeles Lakers Evolution Wool Banner 8" x 32"

The Lakers franchise began in 1947 in Minneapolis, and the team's name stems from Minnesota's nickname, 'Land of 10,000 Lakes.' After winning five championships in Minneapolis, the team relocated to Los Angeles at the beginning of the 1960 season. The addition of Wilt Chamberlain in 1968 would set the Lakers on a course that ultimately included dynasty teams in the '80s and the first decade of the new millennium. With the glamour of L.A. came several larger-than-life stars in Jerry West, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Kobe Bryant.
